It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Christmas is almost here!!
(this blog post is going to be a bit random)

I cannot wait, we are having a big family Christmas dinner at my house however my sister isn't able to get the time of work to come and visit and this will be my first Christmas without both of my sister.

I haven't asked my parents for anything this Christmas so I am excited to see what they got for me. What did you ask for?

I have all my presents wrapped and I am ready to go.

-----------------------------------

My friend told me that there was a sale on in the Body Shop and I had to get something, who can resist a sale??

I think it was a three for two offer and I had been really needing a new face mask and night lotion so I managed to get both and an extra little gift for myself too.

This is the blue corn face mask, I choose this one because it's a deep cleansing mask and they always seem to be the best. It definitely made my skin feel so smooth. I would really recommend giving it a go.

This night lotion is suppose to help with excess oil and is marketed at people with combination skin, which I have. I have used it twice and I definitely think it works great under make-up as it stops me nose becoming too oily.

This is the last of the products which I haven't had much use of yet but I am happy with the overall performance of it. It helps to keep my makeup on a lot longer.

I hope you have a very merry Christmas and have a wonderful time with all your family.
(I promise to be a better blogger in the new year)

Skinetica Review

I heard about Skinetica after reading a couple of blogs which featured posts discussing the product. Many people had been raving about how much it helped improve their skin so I bought a bottle and see for myself.

It's a product aimed more at people who suffer from acne, but I thought that trying it wouldn't hurt as I, like most people get the occasional spot or two. The ingredient list is short which makes me like the product more because they haven't had to use an extensive list of chemicals that no one has ever heard of.

Product description - "Skinetica uses the very latest in molecular science to produce a new and revolutionary product which combines 3 functions in one: anti-blemish skin care treatment, super toner and base to make up foundation. With visible results in 2-3 days and no side-effects. No harsh chemicals, non-toxic, non staining, non greasy and can be used under makeup. Safe for all skin types and all areas of the body."

Ingredients - Purified water, ethyl alcohol (18%), fragrance, quaternary ammonium chloride.

How I use it - In the morning after I have washed my face I dab three big dots of Skinetica onto a cotton pad and then rub it onto my face. I then finish this off with my moisturiser and then my makeup. Before bed I take my make-up off then apply the product exactly the same way I use for the morning and then use my moisturiser.

My thoughts - I have been using this product for almost a year now and I can see it staying in my beauty routine for a very long time. If I forget to use the product for a couple of days in a row I defiantly notice a difference in my skin. It's more oily and I am more prone to break outs. Initially when I first got the product I didn't like the smelly of it at all but over time I have grown to like it. It's defiantly one of my favourite skin care products and have  recommended it to many of my friends and family and I think you should give it a go to.

I Have Been The Worst Blogger Lately

I haven't written a blog post since Easter! I have been super busy with my school work and now I have a job during the weekend. My summer holidays are starting on Thursday so I will have a bit more time to blog then, although I will still be working.

I have a couple of exciting blog posts coming up so I will try and get them up soon. I am having slight technical difficulties because I don't have a charger for my iPod so can't take any pictures at the moment but I have ordered a new one which should be here soon.

It's Sunny Today

The sun has decided to visit Scotland again today, so I have my sun trousers and a t-shirt on. However I'm not outside enjoying the sun because I have to study and finish some bits and bobs of homework that are due for after the holidays (I go back to school on Tuesday).

Happy Easter everyone and don't eat too much chocolate!

Questions Tag

As I have only just started this blog I wanted to do a question tag so that whoever is reading this will be able to know a little bit more about me.

This made me smile so I thought I would share it.

Do you have a middle name?
Yes, I do. It's Anne after my mum.

What is your favourite subject in school?
This is a difficult one. I think it's probably a toss up between History and Design and Manufacture. I like Biology too but I hate all the respiration and photosynthesis stuff.

What's your favourite drink?
I love both coffee and hot chocolate. Coca Cola is the one I normal get when I'm out though.

What is your favourite song at the moment?
I would have to be Something I Need by OneRepublic. I really like their whole Native album actually but that my favourite song on it and the video is pretty funny.

What would you name your children?
This is another tough one, I like too many names. But I will have to go for Flynn, Jasper, Emilia and Hazel.

Do you participate in any sports?
I am a huge football fan so I am in my school girls team and I go to matches with my dad quite often. I also play Shinty (look it up).

What's your favourite book?
It's to difficult to just whittle it down to one but my favourites would have to be Lone Wolf by Jodi Picoult, Delirium by Lauren Oliver and The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty.

What's your favourite colour?
Purple.

What's your favourite animal?
I love most animals expect from insects.

Have you finished High School?
No, not yet. I might be able to leave next year if I do well in my exams otherwise I will finish in two years.

Have you been out of the country?
I have been out of Scotland quite a few times for holidays and to visit relatives. But I have only been to England, Wales and Holland.

Do you speak any other languages?
I can't speak any other languages fluently but I took Gaelic in school so I can speak a bit of that.

Do you have any siblings?
 Yes, two older sisters.

What's you favourite store?
I have two favourite stores, Primark and New Look.

What's your favourite restaurant?
I don't really have a favourite restaurant as I don't really eat out that much. I prefer local hotels though.

Do you like school?
Not that much, it's really hard at the moment! I loved Primary School but High School is just so much work.

Who are some of your favourite YouTubers?
The Shaytards, DailyBumps, Raising the Barrs and lots of others.

What's your favourite film?
I don't really have a all time favourite, I basically like all Romantic Comedies or films like 500 days of Summer and One Day. The Sound of Music is another one of my favourites.

What are some of your favourite TV shows?
Hollyoaks, Rules of Engagement, How I Met Your Mother, Flashpoint and other ones like those.

PC or Mac?
I have only used a Mac once and it was one of the really old generations. However I would love a MacBook Pro.

What phone do you have?
I have and Alcatel. Not sure which one but it only cost £25 and can do everything I want it too. Also I don't use my phone everyday so I don't really need a good one.

How tall are you?
I'm 5'6 or 5'7, I might of grown.

Any pets?
Loads! Dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens and sheep.

First Blog Post

I have decide to start a blog for no particular reason. I just like the idea of writing down what I am thinking for other people to read but there won't be many people reading my first post anyway, but hey. I will put a little bit about myself in a new page which will be called About Me or something similar. My next post will be the questions tag which I have already completed but will keep you waiting.

Me, my older sister and my little cousin
I have been studying today because I have my exams pretty soon (first one is on the 31st of April) so I won't be a very active blogger but I will try my best. Most of my posts will be reviews on products that I have bought recently. I will also so a section about what make-up and skincare products I use and like the most. Anyway today it was lovely and warm, I think it was around 16 degrees Celsius (61 degrees F) so I had a reason to wear a dress (with leggings and a jumper when the wind picked up). It's currently my Easter holiday (we get two weeks. Yey!) so I haven't been extremely busy doing anything, just enjoying my time off and studying. I think I'll end the post here as it's late and I'm going to get ready for bed. Night.
